![]() ![]() I’m not great at switch but it doesn’t give me issues but you can feel the tail isn’t as ‘light’ when you bring it up front. The volume shifted or whatever makes it not a true twin but it’s not that noticeable. Obviously nothing laid out but you really have to try to get that low. The 153 is a pretty good width for me as you can do pretty aggressive carving without heel/toe drag issues when normally a 253mm waist would cause problems. Midbite tech makes the board even wider than the waist width suggests for a comparable board. I have 9.5 boots, 5’8” but around 150lbs. the difference is the ghost doesn’t have rocker. I ride a 153 Ghost which is pretty similar to the standard- I think they have the same shape/tech, width flex, etc. Anybody who has ridden it please get involved! What I'm really after is being able to throw it around a bit, given that my Berzerker is great for speed.ĮDIT: Forgot to mention, the Standard seems quite wide and I was worried with size boots I have (9.5 US) I wouldn't get the maximum out of the Standard. I wondered if a 155cm Basic or a 156cm Standard would be suitable for me? I would top out the weight range on both really. The standard has a sintered base which seems good but none of the reviews seem as glowing as the basic for some reason. Has anyone tried these out? The Basic is nice and cheap and has an extruded base which kind of puts me off (visions of just dying on flat sections) but has great reviews. I've narrowed it down to the Yes Standard or the Yes Basic. It's done me fine for a couple holidays and is nice and stable but I'm after something a bit more nimble, and I also want to start trying out switch riding and learning a few tricks. ![]() I have a Ride Berzerker at the moment which I got off eBay for cheap. My stats - I'm 172cm or 5 foot 8 and about 87kg, about 190lbs. ![]() Hi, I'm thinking about getting a second board for my arsenal. r/SkiBuddies (Find people to ride with!) This increases the edge pressure by distributing your weight/energy in the areas where you need it – from the binding out, and through the centre of the board where the carving arc is taking place. Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning.
